The NEURAL VITALITY LABORATORY (NRV) investigates how we think about and respond to stressors and our experiences. We investigate the neurobehavioral building blocks that help us adapt effectively across the lifespan. Our research explores the brain-behavior basis of emotion regulation, creativity, and vitality in later life.

We are located in the Department of Psychology at the University of Southern California, and we are also affiliated with the Brain and Creativity Institute, Dornsife Cognitive Neuroimaging Center, and the USC Center for Mindfulness Science.
